| On November 26, 2011 members from Chapter 2 where joined by members from Chapter 36 and many others to help make the 1st Temple Toy Run a success. Altogether 16 Red Knights and ten additional guest including member of Leather & Lace gathered at the Riddle Ale House in Media.
At 1115 the 26 bikes line-up and pulled out for the trip into the City to the Temple University Hospital. The ride was very nice and thanks to the great weather very enjoyable.
On arrival at Temple the bikers dismounted their bikes and grabbed their gifts and gathered outside before heading into the hospital where they were met by some kids and staff. Crystal the head organizer thanked everyone for coming and explained a little about the hospital and were the gift would be going after the few children present got theirs.
All guest were offered snacks offered by the hospital and were able to hang out as long as they liked. The big man himself Santa arrived a little later and the kids got a chance to sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted on Christmas day, Santa then gave the kids a gift from the motorcyclist.
The Red Knights Pa 2 would like to thank our fellow Knights and other guest for helping us make the day of children at Temple Hospital a little brighter. A special thanks to Crystal and our own Ernie Derrickson, Jr for organizing this event and pulling it off in a very short time period.
The Red Knights Pa 2 hope to make this a yearly event and look forward to working with Temple again in the future. |
